LAMDA Excellence on Display
Congratulations to the 36 pupils who took their LAMDA exams at the end of last term. A complete range of exams and grades were presented and an incredible 32 students achieved distinctions and 4 achieved high merits.
This includes Alisa S’s PCertLAM Performance Unit which is taken after Gold and is a one hour performance recital on a theme of their choice – Alisa did hers on the societal restrictions on women over time and included pieces from Shakespeare’s era to Carol Ann Duffy’s poem ‘Work’ and an extract from the superb dystopian novel ‘The Power’ by Naomi Alderman. She will now complete a 6,000 word essay examining the social, historical and literary context of her pieces as the second part of this prestigious but demanding qualification.
A huge congratulations to all students and a huge good luck to those who will be taking their exams on 21 May.Â
